​SHABBAT SUKKOT – KIDDUSH IN THE SUKKAH
Saturday, October 15, 2022 at
​10:00am Calgary JCC (1607 90th Ave S.W)

Join us as we celebrate Shabbat Hol Hamo’ed Sukkot with a Shabbat Yom Tov service followed by kiddush in the JCC Sukkah.
Dr. Bernard Corenblum - weather permitting and G-d willing - will provide the Dvar Torah for us this Shabbat morning. He offers unique insights and thought-provoking perspectives on Torah matters. Not to be missed!

All are welcome to join.
We encourage everyone to take precaution not to eat or drink in physical proximity to anyone outside of their immediate social cohorts.

SHEMINI ATZERET / YIZKOR

CHATEAU RENOIR (9229 16 St SW – across from the Calgary JCC), 3RD FLOOR CHAPEL​

​Kehilat Shalom will hold a Shemini Atzeret/ Yizkor service on the morning of Monday October 17 at the Chateau Renoir residence, across from the JCC. Services take place in their beautiful chapel, on the 3rd floor. Our guest Torah reader that morning is Oliver Bassin, who recently celebrated his bar-mitzvah in August with Kehilat Shalom. Yizkor prayers, in memory of deceased family members, will take place some time after 11:00am. The service is open to all. We look forward to your joining us.

SIMCHAT TORAH CELEBRATION – DANCING WITH THE TORAH
Monday, October 17th, 2022 at 7:00pm
​ In-Person at the Calgary JCC (1607 90th Ave S.W).

Join us as we joyfully complete the cycle of yearly Torah reading and begin again at Bereshit, with Hakafot, singing, dancing, praying, refreshments and more.

​​Join us as we continue our weekly learning of the first sedra of the Talmud, Masechet Brachot, , 20a-b. It now takes place weekly on Sunday at 6:30pm Calgary time (8:30pm EST). It is a lively discussion around all matters. The session is suitable for anyone from beginners to advanced learners. Electronic text is provided in Hebrew and English.​ The link to online class will be in your bulletin.
