The Government of Alberta has issued new regulations to stem the tide of COVID-19 virus transmission. Our congregation has already successfully been adhering to more stringent guidelines than government requirement. Kehilat Shalom intends to continue running our regular weekly Shabbat services at the JCC gymnasium where we will be continuing to implement these measures including: - mandatory masking - social distancing - attendance significantly below room capacity - shortened services - sanitization and handwashing All other events & programs will be taking place online. We take heart in our congregation’s established precedent of taking strong safety precautions, and intend to continue running services as long as we perceive our ability to do so safely. Kehilat Shalom will continue to support and advocate for all reasonable efforts to curtail the spread of COVID-19, notably through mandatory masking at all times, reduced exposure, social distancing and other safety precautions.
